I love myths and folklore that involve magic and romance. I'm also intrigued by the city of New Orleans, a world of folklore and magic on its own. And now I'm working on a series of books and short stories in which I combine them all. The Oathmarked.

What is the Oathmarked?

For centuries, Le Conseil des Ombres, the Council of Shadows, a hidden society of six ancient bloodlines. have sworn to guard the barrier between the living world and the realm beyond. That barrier is called the Veil. It keeps the dead where they belong. It keeps the Hollow Court from rising again.

But the Veil is thinning. And something is stirring in the dark.

Who are the Oathmarked?

Each bloodline sends one heir, marked in sacred rite and bound by magic, to serve as guardian of the Veil. They are known as the Oathmarked: six warriors, brothers in everything but name.

Each Oathmarked warrior bears a different gift: fire, foresight, blood, dreams, shadow, or soul, and together, they protect the city from what's beyond the Veil.

Long ago, the Council of Shadows erased a name from history. But the Veil has never forgotten. And history can never really be erased.
